ECUMaster EMU Classic is a 48-pin wire-in ECUMaster ECU on 2 connectors: BLACK (24 pins) and GREY (24 pins).
It has 6 injector outputs and 6 ignition outputs. The injector drivers are saturated, which means high-impedance injectors. Low-impedance ones need a ballast resistor pack or a different ECU. Every ignition output can fire a smart coil or a dumb coil directly.
There are 3 dedicated trigger inputs, each happy with a VR or a Hall sensor. Two knock inputs cover both banks of a V engine. It has an onboard wideband controller, so a sensor wires straight in. The MAP sensor is built in.
Drive-by-wire needs the maker's external DBW module. CAN comes through the maker's add-on module rather than the main connectors.

| Ignition outputs | 6smart or dumb coils, selectable |
| Dedicated trigger inputs | 3VR or Hall |
| Knock inputs | 2 |
| Onboard wideband controllers | 1 |
| Onboard MAP sensor | Yes |
| CAN buses | Via add-on moduleneeds the maker's CAN module |
| Drive-by-wire | Via an external DBW module |
| High-side outputs | 0 |
| Half-bridge outputs | 4H-bridge pairs for a throttle motor or stepper |
| 5V sensor supply | 1 pin |
| Thermocouple (EGT) inputs | 2 |
Worth knowing
- CAN only through the separate CAN module on the extension port.
- The two H-bridges are stepper drivers for idle control, not drive-by-wire.
Which builds it suits
Of the 58 swap presets in the planner, 21 fit as they are and 2 fit with add-ons; 35 do not fit at all. The add-on it asks for most often is the ECUMaster Lambda-to-CAN. Where it falls short, it is usually not enough injector output (low-side). The planner fills anything a preset leaves open with its ordinary defaults, so your own build may land differently.
It runs the Toyota 1JZ-GTE non-VVTi, Nissan RB20DET, Nissan SR20DET (S13) and Mazda Rotary 20B (Eunos Cosmo 3-rotor) presets with nothing added. The Subaru EJ/FA EJ20 turbo single-AVCS (EJ207 v7-9) needs ECUMaster Lambda-to-CAN. The Subaru EJ/FA EJ20 turbo dual-AVCS (EJ207 GRB 2008+) needs ECUMaster Lambda-to-CAN. It can't run the GM LS LQ4/LQ9 (Gen3 6.0 iron): not enough injector output (low-side). It can't run the Ford Modular 4.6 2V (SOHC): not enough injector output (low-side). It can't run the Nissan VQ35HR (High-Rev, 2007+): not enough digital / frequency inputs.
